The Retail Sales Associate is the primary contact between Greencare Collective’s guests and the company. They are responsible for educating guests on Greencare Collective’s product offerings and providing excellent guest service experience. They must communicate effectively and have a solid understanding of how to meet the guest’s needs.

Retail Sales Associates will be responsible for using Greencare Collective’s point of sale system. They must practice and be compliant with Cannabis Control Commission regulations, and with Greencare Collective’s standard operating procedures and protocols. The Retail Sales Associate promotes and maintains a positive work environment that is grounded in best-in-class guest service and company growth.

Primary responsibilities:

● Provide a high-end guest service experience with a focus on guest engagement and education.

● Validate the guests concerns, needs, and goals by approaching each interaction with a positive attitude, welcoming tone of voice, empathy, and effective communication skills.

● Maintain knowledge of various types of strains and products offered by Greencare Collective.

● Recommend additional and complementary products and/or strains based on the information provided by the guest or item already selected for purchase.

● Maintain a current understanding of research and trends in the cannabis industry to provide guests with up-to-date information and knowledge base.

● Maintain a clean, safe, secure, healthy, and productive environment.

● Assists with the presentation of a well-stocked store front ensuring a positive sales experience.

● Participates in overall store cleanliness including restrooms, office, and sales floor.

● Must always have a can-do attitude with a strong work ethic focused on Greencare Collective’s Core Values and Mission Statement.

● Participates in opening and closing, and midday tasks.

● Maintain a general understanding of the Massachusetts Medical & Adult Use Cannabis regulations, mainly regarding adult use dispensary operations.

● Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the legal cannabis industry and CCC guidelines.

● Execute and enforce compliance with CCC regulations and Greencare Collective’s policies and procedures.

● Maintain strict confidentiality while handling and managing guest information.

● Accurately and efficiently execute sales transactions using cash or debit cards.

● Participates in ongoing education and professional development as required.

● Check in guests and visitors following identification check procedures.

● Answer phones appropriately.

● Responsible for working in admissions, fulfillment and inventory when assigned.

● Cross training is a requirement.

● Additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements and Preferences

● 2+ years’ experience in a fast‐paced client‐service intensive industry – retail background preferred.

● High School degree or equivalent.

● Previous cannabis experience preferred.

● Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash management with a focus on register accountability.

● Availability to work nights, holidays and weekends is required.

● Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

● Must be authorized to work in the United States.

● Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.

● Must be 21 years of age or older.

● Must have reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
